I applaud you for it. There is great power in putting things out in the open like you just have. You are right to say many are in the same predicament or so the statistics tell us. I would like to encourage you in the fact that you have openly admitted your addiction and that has to be the first step to a life free of any form of addiction that has you grabbed by the neck and won't let you live life to the full and be the best that you can be. You are also right in saying that porn addiction is a bit of a taboo in the church and it is precisely that lack of attention to it that makes this pattern fester and so difficult to fight. I am praying for you today. I am praying that God will honour your courageous step of openly admitting your sin and that He will give you the strength to continue free from any chains which threaten to hold you down. May I suggest that you read the book of Psalms in the Bible. It will encourage you greatly as you realise many have pleaded with God before you to protect them from temptation and sin. I personally know people who have overcome porn addiction, and the battle to overcome it has been very tough, but at the same time, those people have gone on to do amazing things once freed from such addiction. I would encourage you to remain strong and to be accountable to a close friend or relative with whom you can be totally honest and who can strengthen you when you fear you may fall again.
